The Sangguniang Bayan, also known as the Municipal Council, is the legislative body of a municipality in the Philippines. It is composed of elected officials, including the Municipal Mayor as the presiding officer and the Municipal Vice Mayor as the presiding officer pro tempore. The Sangguniang Bayan members, commonly referred to as councilors, are representatives of various districts or sectors within the municipality.
